So, hey guys, happy Labor Day!
After the one unfortunate setback with Chick-fil-A, I was eventually hired as a custodian for a nearby elementary school, and it’s been a surprisingly (and refreshingly) rewarding experience since then. The faculty and coworkers have been supportive, the kids are friendly, and the taskload is laidback yet engaging. I had already assumed janitorial duties at both the Stetson University coffeeshop and especially Office Depot, so this was a natural step up (and indeed, experience that I was sure to plug in at my interview).
They say that “Money isn’t everything; not having it is“, and I honestly underestimated the positive impact of financial security on mental health.
Oh yeah, and you all probably already saw the newest addition to our family: Binky!
She seems to be adjusting to the switch from stray to housed and loved with two sisters perfectly well. Resident Callico feline Callie has taken Binky in and given her all the grooming and attention she long-deserves.

Anyways, perhaps it’s fitting to spend the rest of the day off working on my artwork. I’ll have to let you guys know when I have something to share! I may also give Metal Gear Solid V some attention – a video game that turned a decade old yesterday, and one that I still cherish as having been a self-care game that helped me get through a very dark time in late 2017 following my graduation.
I digress. I definitely have some ideas for more content on this blog that I want to experiment with, and I also welcome ideas from anyone reading this as to what you’d want to see.
