What a year… It’s been a year of changes, grief, and realization all in one. After a couple setbacks, a new and surprisingly rewarding job opportunity as an elementary school custodian (alongside still continuing my remote position providing music for my former church) would prove to help make the second half of the year just a little bit easier. That, and finding Binky.

As we prepare for Christmas and New Year’s (which actually ranks among my favorite holidays), I’ve proactively been thinking over my New Year’s resolutions, with one goal behind them being to try to broaden my set of opportunities. Another priority includes helping myself hone in on multiple skills that I’ve been wanting to improve, including illustration and guitar. You guys reading this are going to get to hear more of the latter, I promise.
Yet another of those resolutions is going to include a complete overhaul of this very blog and an archiving of the previous posts in favor of a new format, because it’s been increasingly obvious over these past two years or so that the blog seriously hasn’t lived up to expectations; ah well, live and learn.
You’ll get another post by the end of 2025. Here’s to a great Christmas, and to a great wrap-up of another year where we’re continually blessed to be alive in. Stay warm, and enjoy that time with your families. And pets.
